... Next in line was the German DIORAMA, whose role would have been much easier if they performed after Melotron. Now they have to start from zero again and cheer up the irritated crowd. They were a pretty sympathetic group, with a promising future and enjoyable music. But again, I suppose that if they never had the support from Adrian Hates ( Diary of Dreams) they would simple be, "just another band" . It´s ok music, but you can say this thing for millions of other groups out there. Judging from the reactions that the crowd had when Adrian Hates joined them on stage for the song, "Her liquid arms", they should feel really lucky that this man is believing in them and helps them out. He is certainly a reason why DIORAMA sells that much. Concentrating only on the band, they a bass player along, a fazct that gave a deeper effect in the songs, and the phenomenon with the confused, puzzled singers ( remember DECODE?) was still going on as DIORAMA´s vocalist thought he was on a catwalk and not a stage. His clothes were pretty far from any wave of gothic fashion and a far cry from what a lead singer should wear at a concert. He thought he was opening for Britney Spears, maybe. In addition to his not so, to put it politely, nice dancing, he gave an overall impression of exaggerating and making a mountain out of a molehill. Of course isn´t something important or by any means a reason to reject a band. Nonetheless on a live environment, I am of the opinion that all details, from clothes to the sound equipment, count. I will certainly see DIORAMA live again if I ever get the chance. Previously I referred to Adrian Hates, and for some strange resonance he has a lot of followers, be it with his own band, his own record label or his dj-ing, he will always have the support of the fans at hand.....
