The German Band Diorama was almost faultless in last Friday's performance, on the 17th of March, during the opening concert of Fade In Festival 2006. For the first time in its history, an event (apparently, the first of many) took place in the outstanding space of Sushi Dance Club, in Leiria. Taking advantage of the exceptional sound conditions as well as the exemplary and luxurious lights at their disposal (due to Fade In's wager on the professionals of Audishow), Diorama offered everyone in the room (many of them fans, but also many melomaniacs always interested in discovering different "things" - a habit that characterizes many of the so-called Fadelnners) a concert of very high quality, revealing a remarkable evolution since their last time in Portugal, in 2001, As a matter of fact, that memorable night at Hard Club, Gaia, also reviewed here at JORNAL DE LEIRIA's pages, also included the performances of Das Ich and Diary Of Dreams, German bands who subsequently came to Leiria so as to perform in Fade In 2004 and Fade In 2005, respectively. As a result of the presence of Diorama in the city of Lis, we withhold the magnificent and persuasive presence of Torben Wendt on stage, among other things. Besides an exceptional voice, the mentor of this quintet from a city in the suburbs of Stuttgart shows a noteworthy body expressivity that either transmits joy or sadness, mystery or revelation, romance and sensuality or sarcasm and irony. It was this way that, for almost two hours, seventeen themes were presented on Sushi's stage; some more organic, some more electronic, others acoustic and even some remix versions.
